Abstract

For some time it has been recognised that health professionals and the public would benefit from an increased understanding of how genetics and advances in technologies, especially genetic testing, could impact on healthcare. My group has taken a systematic approach using program evaluation to implement genetics education programs for healthcare professionals and a number of population-based genetic screening studies in which education plays a pivotal role. I will discuss the concept of program evaluation and give some specific examples of how this has been applied.

There will be a light lunch beforehand in the Boardroom, Level 2, Alan Gilbert Building at 12:30 pm. PLEASE RSVP by Thursday 24 November if you would like to attend the lunch to   This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
