Dr Kirby Siemering Boardroom AbstractNext-Generation Sequencing (NGS) has provided arguably the greatest step-change to the field of genomic research since the invention of PCR technology in the mid 1980s and is redefining the scale and depth at which biological experiments are done. This seminar will examine NGS technology and how it has been used up until now. It will also explore future technological developments in NGS and where this technological revolution is leading us. There will be a light lunch beforehand in the Boardroom, Level 2, Alan Gilbert Building at 12:30 pm.
